The Absalom Spirit

The Absalom Spirit is loose. We live in a world where the spirit of lust is running rampant. Absalom’s assumes that if they can get next to the pastor or the CEO, the person with great influence, then they can be put in positions of prominence. Absalom’s promote themselves.

 People who are led by selfish ambition often cause church splits, family discord, divisions, and unhealthy work environments. Absalom’s are clout chasers and people-pleasers. Absalom’s ministry begins with the desire to be known by men. Absalom’s don’t start ministries because they want to serve; they want to be seen. Leadership is about serving not your desire to be seen.
