BUILDING THE BONES
BUILDING THE BONES
How does a group of people who had been prepared, pruned, promised, and then blessed get to a place where they are despondent, depressed, beyond repair, and having lost all hope? How did we get from being strong, full of life and vigor, to nothing more than a valley of dry bones? What happened that we got so far off course that it appears as though we will never recover? The wonderful thing about our God is that he is a redeemer. The Lord wants us to be restored, revived, and renewed. Similar to when a house is being renovated, we must tear something old in order to build it back up. You don’t get to the new without taking out the old. The purpose is not to bring something back to the original state but to make it brand new. According to Ezekiel 37, God will redeem and restore a people who are seemingly beyond repair. In the book Building the Bones, Dr. Samaria explains God’s plan to uproot, redeem, and repair a lost people.
